The COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on economies worldwide have highlighted the importance of bringing a paradigm shift in enabling an economic recovery, beyond conventional models of growth. Against this backdrop, LEAD at Krea University organised a two-day closed-door workshop to inform green recovery efforts in Odisha. The workshop convened key stakeholders and sought inputs for informing state-level strategies, and tried to map private and social returns of transitioning to a ‘green recovery model’.
The discussion featured different stakeholders namely: individual farmers, entrepreneurs associated with MSMEs, researchers/academics, policymakers, civil society representatives working on relevant issues, representatives of financial institutions, representatives of different collectives (producers, workers and consumers) working on promoting agriculture and MSMEs in Odisha. These included:
