Nano enterprises have a significant role to play in the growth of the Indian economy, from generating employment to contributing to GDP. LEAD continued its association as a Technical Partner with the Inclusive Finance India Summit and anchored a discussion on access to credit for nano enterprises. The session was based on high-level findings of a recent baseline by Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and LEAD at Krea University conducted as part of a three-year longitudinal study to assess the impact of credit provided to nano enterprises.
The technical discussion at the Inclusive Finance India Summit 2023 delved into how these findings are similar to and different from the current understanding of this segment among financial service providers, how can FSPs cater to them more effectively, and what policy gaps need to be addressed.
