LEAD at Krea University along with its research initiative IWWAGE participated at the International Association of Feminist Economics’s 30th Annual Conference in Geneva. Kartikeya Bhatotia, Senior Research Associate, LEAD at Krea University along with Nidhi Gyan Pandey, Research Associate, IWWAGE and Parushya, Research Manager, IWWAGE, shared emerging insights from LEAD’s research on gendered hiring practices among enterprises in India and women’s labour force participation.
The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) is a non-profit organization that seeks to advance feminist inquiry of economic issues and to educate economists and others on feminist points of view on economic issues. The conference was an important place where academics, policymakers, and activists from around the world shared and discussed feminist economic analysis to advocate for a global economy centered on human rights, the well-being of the planet, and inclusivity. Presenters and attendees joined the hybrid event from around the world and included important feminist leaders from the United Nations, Workers Organizations and the Academy as speakers.
