About the GxD (Gender x Digital) hub:

GxD hub is an emerging interdisciplinary centre at LEAD. Our mission is to address critical intersections between gender and digital technology through rigorous research, impactful engagement with stakeholders, and ecosystem development. The hub operates across multiple workstreams, including government engagement, partnerships with research institutions, and initiatives aimed at creating a robust ecosystem to support gender and digital initiatives. Our work is rooted in a deep commitment to develop gender intentional and overall inclusive digital platforms in the country.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear and impactful policy briefs, funding notes, and summaries of research findings. Your ability to distil complex research into key messages for diverse audiences will be essential in supporting the hub’s advocacy and funding efforts; 
  • Review and examine funding proposals to ensure alignment with the hub’s strategic goals and research priorities. You will assess the feasibility, potential impact, and relevance of proposals, providing feedback to enhance the quality of submissions;
  • Conduct desk research on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to gender, digital policies, government schemes, and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPIs). Your insights will directly contribute to the development of the hub’s strategic initiatives and policy recommendations;
  • Writing reports and preparing presentations for all stakeholders, particularly the government. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution is required. A Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or other related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory;
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in research, policy analysis, or a related field. Experience in gender studies, digital policies, or working with digital government schemes will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to present information in a structured and insightful manner;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a strong desire to learn new skills; 
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
  • Familiarity with gender and digital issues is highly desirable but not mandatory.
