Rahul Muralidharan

Research Fellow

Rahul Muralidharan is a Research Fellow with LEAD at Krea University and aims to bring focus on coastal environments, sustainable livelihoods, climate change and its associated social justice concerns.  He is a doctoral candidate at the Academy for Conservation Science and Sustainability Studies at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). He has a Master’s degree in Marine Studies and Coastal Resource Management from Madras University, Chennai. His research interests broadly lie in using interdisciplinary political ecology approach to address pressing concerns over environmental justice and social equity issues. His expertise is in fisheries, environmental conservation, marine social sciences, sustainable development and research methodology.  He has over ten years of experience in working with small-scale fishing communities along the coast of Tamil Nadu.
