About the Position:
This role is needed in the implementation of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project on digital labour markets and women’s economic empowerment hosted by IFMR. The Research Associate will anchor field supervision of data collection in an ongoing RCT in Bangalore/Delhi. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in undertaking empirical research work in the future. The project will expose the Research Associate to various survey methodologies, data handling and analytical tools. The candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the project by providing regular updates to the lead researchers alongside the below-mentioned responsibilities.
- Literature search including searching for various data sources under the guidance of the lead researchers.
- Compiling data from various sources into STATA
- Data cleaning, merging in STATA
- Data analysis under the guidance of the lead researchers
Background and Qualifications:
- M.A. in economics or related field (including B.Tech) with a good academic record
- Knowledge of STATA/R, Python, Survey CTO and Excel
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of Kannada is a plus but not required
