About IWWAGE: 

Institute for What Works to Advance Gender Equality (IWWAGE) aims to build on existing research and generate new evidence to inform and facilitate the agenda of women’s economic empowerment. IWWAGE is an initiative of LEAD, an action-oriented research centre of IFMR Society (a not for profit society registered under the Societies Act). LEAD has strategic oversight and brand support from Krea University (sponsored by IFMR Society) to enable synergies between academia and the research centre. BRAC International will be signing an MoU with IWWAGE to set up the The National Project Management Unit (NPMU) under the DAY-NRLM to facilitate comprehensive coordination and oversight of Inclusive Livelihoods Programme(s). It serves as an entity responsible for managing, coordinating, and aligning various facets of the initiative, ensuring integration with different components and overseeing the programme’s overall implementation across states and at the national level. 

About the Role 

The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the NPMU. The selected candidate will be responsible for tracking and documenting project information. Synthesize and organize data to communicate it to the PMU lead and team members. The candidate will report to the Head-HR & Administration. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Support Lead-NPMU and IWWAGE in overall admin and operations. 
  • Provide all logistical support to all the NPMU and IWWAGE staffs. Provide all logistical support in organizing workshops/seminars and training. : Provide support to the staff to finalize the venue, prepare memo and budget for the meeting. Prepare and organize materials for meetings, conferences, and presentations. 
  • Support the NPMU and IWWAGE in the drafting of letters/circulars etc.
  • Co-ordinate with other thematic leads and PMU lead in improving the delivery of the program and ensure to contribute in the progress and performance of the program.¬†
  • Any other task assigned by the PMU lead or by DAY-NRLM/BRAC International or IWWAGE.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and technical support to the Head HR & Admin assisting in project coordination, troubleshooting, and maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Address issues and challenges proactively, seeking solutions independently when possible.
  • The selected candidate must be available and present in the office on all working days as part of their responsibilities.

Required Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience not-for-profit/Development Sector organization in the administrative or executive support roles.

Professional Experience: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong typing skills in both Hindi and English. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to take on various tasks to contribute to the smooth functioning of the office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally.
