Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for project
•      Conducting assessments using a variety of methodologies including cost effectiveness analyses, short surveys, web based surveys, participatory appraisals, qualitative methods, and secondary data analysis.
•      Liaising with funder, partners, grantee organizations and managing subcontractors and field researchers as required.
•      For econometric/quantitative /qualitative research assist in designing sampling strategies, instruments to ensure that they meet evaluation needs.
•      Carry out desk research, including literature reviews and secondary data analyses based on academic publications and grey literature.
•      Data management and analysis including managing transcripts, collating, managing and cleaning data sets to ensure accuracy and objectivity.
•      Assist in making recommendations and reports based on the evaluation findings. Produce written and numeric outputs including but not limited to research reports.
•      Ensure data collection, analysis and archiving is in compliance with organization policies, internal working practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities for organizational development
•      Assist in proposal writing, budget preparation, literature reviews and coordinating work for other projects as and when required to.
•      Work collaboratively with other teams as and when required to.

Required Experience/Skills:
•      Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of research experience or Master’s degree in Economics/Health Economics/ Public Health/ Development Studies etc.
•      Competent user of at least one statistical software package (preferably SPSS but also including Stata, R, or SAS)
•      Experience of writing proposals
•      Ability to network with external partners and stakeholders
•      Familiarity with and understanding of the core principles of econometric, quantitative and qualitative research and skills in research methods, and data handling, analysis
•      High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel
•      Excellent writing skills and ability to present research evidence innovatively
•      A high degree of self-motivation and resourcefulness combined with a willingness to adopt a ‘hands-on’ role
•      Ability to manage multiple demands, adjust priorities and negotiate timescales as necessary
